Colt Service and Maintenance Certifications and Accreditations. Competency is crucial
It is absolutely imperative that your smoke control systems are serviced by someone who is fully accredited and third party certified. Colt was the UK’s first company to be certified to both IFC SDI 19 and SDI 05, which are both standards that have been developed by the Smoke Control Association. The new certifications, which have been provided by IFC, have been awarded in recognition of Colt’s knowledge, experience and skill as an installer and servicer of both smoke control systems and fire curtains.
SDI 19, which is mandatory for all smoke control installations, aims to ensure that installers are competent in areas such as fire strategy, scheme design and installation.
SDI 05 demands the same levels of competency with regards to the installation, commissioning and servicing of active and fixed barriers for fire and smoke control.
Below, you will find details of all the other accreditations and certifications that Colt holds as well.
